For its 30th anniversary, Asus showed at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan, many new products and innovations that left the world of tech speechless.
The most popular one is obviously the new ZenBook Pro Duo. As crazy as it sounds, this laptop has TWO 4K screens. The first one is a 15.6-inch 4K OLED HDR Screen, and the second one is a 4K ScreenPad Plus display.
However, it cannot be compared to the TouchBar available on the MacBooks. This screen is capable of way more, such as mulitasking, navigating between apps, organizing, being a second screen or extending the first one, or even handwriting since it’s a touchscreen. A stylus can be used as well.
This ZenBook Pro Duo seems to be the big brother of the ZenBook Pro 15 from 2018, that had a touchscreen in the touchpad.
This touchscreen however has been improved and enlarged over the year to become the ScreenPad. It can be split into up to three different windows that interact with the main 15.6-inch screen. You may be wondering where the keyboard and touchpad go now that there is a screen.
The keyboard is just placed lower, where the touchpad usually is, while this one is now on the right, where the keypad usually is.
he keypad can be used by pressing a button that would turn the touchpad into a virtual keypad. Asus goal while building this laptop was to have the efficiency of a computer with an external monitor in a single laptop.
