An Asus laptop Lid Board, also known as a lid controller board or lid sensor board, is a thin circuit board located inside the top cover (lid) of the laptop. This sensor board houses various components that help the laptop monitor the state of the lid and perform actions accordingly. The most common component on a lid board is a lid switch. This switch detects when the lid is opened or closed and sends a signal to the Asus laptop's motherboard. The motherboard then uses this signal to turn on the display, put the laptop to sleep, or wake it from sleep. If your laptop display doesn't turn on when you open the lid, even though the laptop is powered on, or it randomly goes to sleep or wakes up when you haven't touched the lid, it may be time to replace the lid board.
